Armando Anthony "Chick" Corea (born June 12, 1941) is
an American jazz and fusion pianist, keyboardist, and
composer. Many of his compositions are considered jazz
standards. As a member of Miles Davis' band in the
1960s, he participated in the birth of the electric jazz
fusion movement. In the 1970s he formed Return to
Forever. Along with Herbie Hancock, McCoy Tyner, and
Keith Jarrett, he has been described as one of the major
jazz piano voices to emerge in the post–John Coltrane
era.

Jack DeJohnette
Jack DeJohnette (born August 9, 1942) is an American
jazz drummer, pianist, and composer. An important figure
of the fusion era of jazz, DeJohnette is one of the most
influential jazz drummers of the 20th century, given his
extensive work as leader and sideman for musicians
including Freddie Hubbard, Keith Jarrett, Sonny Rollins,
Miles Davis, Joe Henderson, and John Scofield.

John McLaughlin
John McLaughlin (born 4 January 1942, Doncaster, West
Riding of Yorkshire, England), also known as Mahavishnu
John McLaughlin, is an English guitarist, bandleader and
composer. His music includes many genres of jazz, and
rock, which he coupled with an interest in Indian
classical music to become one of the pioneering figures
in fusion. After contributing to several key British
groups of the early sixties and making his first solo
record Extrapolation (with Tony Oxley and John Surman)
he moved to the USA where he played with Tony Williams's
group Lifetime and then with Miles Davis on his landmark
electric jazz-fusion albums In A Silent Way, Bitches
Brew, A Tribute to Jack Johnson and On The Corner. His
1970's electric band, the Mahavishnu Orchestra,
performed a technically virtuosic and complex style of
music that fused electric jazz and rock with Indian
influences.

Zawinul (1932 - 2007)
Josef Erich "Joe" Zawinul (July 7, 1932 – September
11, 2007) was an Austrian jazz keyboardist and composer.
First coming to prominence with saxophonist Cannonball
Adderley, Zawinul went on to play with trumpeter Miles
Davis, and to become one of the creators of jazz fusion,
an innovative musical genre that combined jazz with
elements of rock and world music.

Holland Dave Holland (born October 1, 1946)
is an English jazz double bassist, composer and
bandleader who has been performing and recording for
five decades. He has lived in the United States for over
40 years. His work ranges from pieces for solo
performance to big band. Holland runs his own
independent record label, Dare2, which he launched in
2005. He has explained his musical philosophy by quoting
fellow jazz artist Sam Rivers: "Sam said, 'Don't leave
anything out – play all of it.'" Holland has played with
some of the greatest names in jazz, and has participated
in several classic recording sessions.
