Quintet
Wayne Shorter
Wayne Shorter (born August 25, 1933) is an American
jazz saxophonist and composer. Shorter first came to
wide prominence in the late 1950s as a member of, and
eventually primary composer for, Art Blakey's Jazz
Messengers. In the 1960s, he went on to join Miles
Davis's Second Great Quintet, and from there he
co-founded the jazz fusion band Weather Report. He has
recorded over 20 albums as a bandleader.

Herbert Jeffrey "Herbie" Hancock (born April 12,
1940) is an American pianist, keyboardist, bandleader
and composer. As part of Miles Davis's Second Great
Quintet, Hancock helped to redefine the role of a jazz
rhythm section and was one of the primary architects of
the "post-bop" sound. He was one of the first jazz
musicians to embrace music synthesizers and funk music
(characterized by syncopated drum beats).

Tony Williams (1945 - 1997)
Anthony Tillmon "Tony" Williams (December 12, 1945 –
February 23, 1997) was an American jazz drummer.
Widely regarded as one of the most important and
influential jazz drummers to come to prominence in the
1960s, Williams first gained fame in the band of
trumpeter Miles Davis and was a pioneer of jazz fusion.
